Most people think the perfect age gap for partners is four years and four months, but only if the man is older, according to a survey.
They also think that a romantic relationship is ideal when it's between an older man and a younger woman, the survey of 2,000 adults found.
But nearly less than half of people surveyed said there was no ideal age gap, according to the Huffingtonpost.
While 33 per cent of women wanted a guy up to seven years older than them, only one out of a hundred women preferred a younger man, the survey revealed.
About 55 per cent of women said financial stability was one of the biggest reasons for preferring older dudes, since they couldn't afford rent or mortgages on their own.
