Nicki Minaj has reignited her feud with fellow American Idol judge Mariah Carey, branding the diva ‘bitter’ and ‘insecure’.
And there we thought the two had put their rocky past behind them.
Taking to Twitter Nicki ranted: “Bwaha! Burn? She's sad i tied her record for Hot 100 entries in only 3 years of being in the game. Yep, a black female rapper.
“What u SHOULD be doing (wit your messy ass) is asking why a woman SO successful at her age, is still so INSECURE, and bitter. (sic)”
But Nicki’s online Mariah bashing didn’t stop at there, bringing up rumours that Jennifer Lopez will be replacing her on the next series of the talent contest.
She wrote: “All dem #1s but JLo phone ringin? Lol. I guess having a personality, being a secure woman, and giving genuine critique still trumps that. (sic)”
Nicki’s Twitter rant was seemingly ignited by a very frosty atmosphere between the two judges on the latest live episode of American Idol.
During the live show, Mariah persistently shook her head and mumbled under her breath every time Nicki gave a critique.
The awkwardness reached its peak when Mariah made a comment that Nicki didn’t agree with, leading to the ‘Starships’ singer pulling out some cotton buds and telling the ‘Heartbreaker’ hit maker to clean her ears out.
It’s almost as if she had been waiting for Mariah to say something she didn’t agree with – who carries cotton buds around with them?
Mariah is yet to respond to Nicki’s bating but we don’t doubt the next episode of American Idol will make for some very awkward/ riveting viewing.
