The gunman then ran inside the Parliament, which is located across the street from the National War Memorial. Though the gunman has been confirmed dead inside the Parliament building, the situation is still active and the area is still on lock-down.
The incident comes just a day after police killed a Muslim convert in Quebec after he had hit two soldiers with his car.
