Can Psy repeat the success of Gangnam Style?

It's coming on for a year since a tubby South Korean man in his mid-30s released the most insanely addictive pop single in a generation. When you have a global hit on the scale of Gangnam Style, what do you do for an encore?

Well, it looks like we're set to find out when Psy releases the follow-up at midnight on April 12th. The track, called Gentleman, has already leaked (it was released in New Zealand at midnight their time and quickly found its way online), and it's fair to say Psy has stuck to the Gangnam Style formula.

Featuring a similar K-Pop beat and the rather bizarre catchphrase "I am a mother, father, gentleman!", Psy will be hoping for even a fraction of its predecessor's success. In case you didn't know, Gangnam Style is the most-watched video in YouTube history with more than 1.5 billion views.

Of course, what's he's hoping even more is that it doesn't sink without trace and relegate him to one-hit wonder status.
