Cosby Show star, Phylicia Rashad defends Bill Cosby: ‘Forget These Women’

Phylicia Rashad has come out for the first time to defend her Cosby Show co-star, Bill Cosby against the multiple sexual assault claims.

Speaking to Roger Friedman of Showbiz411.com, the Tony winnner who acted as Clair Huxtable in the Cosby Show, said the shocking allegations against his friend was a plot to tarnish his longstanding legacy.

She said,


“Forget these women. What you’re seeing is the destruction of a legacy. And I think it’s orchestrated. I don’t know why or who’s doing it, but it’s the legacy. And it’s a legacy that is so important to the culture.”
When asked about the allegations by stars, Beverly Johnson and Janice Dickinson, she said: “Oh please.”
“Someone is determined to keep Bill Cosby off TV. And it’s worked. All his contracts have been cancelled.”
