Phyno's 'Man Of The Year' banned
The Nigerian Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has released a circular warning radio stations to stop playing certain songs from rapper Phyno, Wizkid‘s producer Maleek Berry and others.
The NBC occasionally releases strict warnings to radio and TV stations over music content being aired on radio and TV media.
This time, they are warning broadcasters about increase in musicals with indecent lyrics and visuals.
In a circular released this week, the NBC cited Phyno’s ‘Man of the year’ and Maleek Berry’s ‘The matter’ featuring Wizkid as major examples of songs they expect radio stations to cease from playing and advising them to ‘exhibit responsibility in choice of musical Earlier This Year NBC placed a ban on eight videos by Psquare (Alingo), Wande Coal (Go low), Timaya (Bum bum), Flavour (Shake), D’Prince (Take banana), Goldie (Ski bobo),Chuddy K (Brazilian hair) and Tillaman (Koma roll).
